Just a regular Aussie kid trying to make a difference in the world,
and he needs your help. See his full story here.
“The Turtle Tribe is not just a shop. It’s a rallying cry for #GenerationChange to build a better future. Ned shows how young people can use their voice to make a difference. With regular media appearances, meetings with scientists and politicians, school visits to inspire other kids, multiple awards under his belt, and a children’s book on the way, Ned invites you to join him on his mission to reduce ocean plastics, by calling for a ban of not just single-use plastics, but other unnecessary throw-away plastics too. Chief among them – toothbrushes. With your support – he can do it.”

It's time to change
A million sea birds die every year from eating plastic (and feeding it to their chicks).
After they die, the plastic isn’t gone. It’s released back into the environment to kill again.
Scientists predict that by 2050, there’ll be more plastic in the ocean, than fish!
RECYCLING isn’t the answer. Just 3% of all the plastic ever made has been recycled. We have to REDUCE the throw-away plastic we use, every day.
Every year I go camping on a wild Pacific Ocean island. It’s pure wilderness. But every day, I find plastic rubbish, including toothbrushes, washed up on the beach. This is happening on every beach in the world, and it’s why I started The Turtle Tribe.
Why bamboo?
Bamboo is the ultimate renewable resource
We use MOSO bamboo. MOSO bamboo requires no fertiliser or pesticides. It grows up to 1m per day, and is not the kind of bamboo eaten by pandas, so is considered “panda friendly”.
Bamboo is naturally anti-microbial
Though be sure to air-dry your toothbrush after use, and do not stand in water, to avoid your toothbrush going mouldy.
Bamboo toothbrushes biodegrade after you’re finished with them
Unlike the 3 billion plastic toothbrushes used every year around the world, that never break down.

My New Go-To Toothbrush!
These toothbrushes are so soft and not harsh on your teeth at all. I was also instantly attracted to the design of them, incorporating a personalised touch as you can write your name on it as well as a place to write down the date of expiry.

The BEST bamboo toothbrushes
I have tried several different bamboo toothbrushes and none compare to The Turtle Tribe. Others I’ve had go bushy after a while and the bristles fall out. These are very well designed! Love them!
